'THE SILO AND US' TO SCREEN IN 16 CITIES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN OCTOBER / by Maria Kristensen

We are so happy to share that Carina Randløv's The Silo and Us is heading out across the Czech Republic and Slovakia screening in 16 cities as part of the 15th edition of the Film and Architecture Festival, running September 30 – October 5 under this year's motto "To Be, or to BnB?"

This year's the transformation of cities and public spaces, architectural visions influencing the quality of everyday life, as well as the impacts of gentrification and changes in the urban environment. It's a theme The Silo and Us speaks to directly: the film follows a small, depopulating seaside town in southern Denmark, where a group of artists and cultural entrepreneurs try to convince the inhabitants in the town that turning an abandoned concrete silo into an international arts center is the town's best hope for a future.

Director Carina Randløv will be attending the festival and we couldn't be prouder to see the film travel this far and wide in the Czech Republic and Slovakia - reaching such a broad range of audiences is exactly what we hope for this film.
