CPH:DOX SCREENING OF 'NIGHT WILL FALL' / by Maria Kristensen

Final Cut for Real co-production Night Will Fall by André Singer premiered as part of the 2014 CPH:DOX program on November 12th at Cinemateket.

The documentary uses footage from the liberation of the German Bergen-Belsen concentration camp at the end of World War II, exploring how a team of top filmmakers, including Sidney Bernstein, Richard Crossman and Alfred Hitchcock came together to make a film to provide undeniable evidence of what the allies found. The footage was shelved at the time and only restored more than 40 years later. "Night Will Fall is the story of the fabled lost' film, and adds an important and poignant chapter to the story of the war, and especially its aftermath."
