The Distant Barking of Dogs was nominated for Best Cinematography (Simon Lereng Wilmont) and Best Music Score (Uno Helmersson & Erik Enocksson) at the IDA Documentary Awards.
Additionally, it won an honorable mention for the Pare Lorentz Award, which “recognizes films that demonstrate exemplary filmmaking while focusing on the appropriate use of the natural environment, justice for all and the illumination of pressing social problems.”
The awards ceremony will be held on 8 December 2018 in Los Angeles, California.
