We are proud to announce the world premiere of The Revolution Against Death at CPH:DOX 2026.
The new short documentary by Joshua Oppenheimer will premiere as part of a special programme featuring three short films The Revolution Against Death, Fahrenheit, and 7 Summers.
Set in a faded rococo resort of turquoise pools, gilt and chintz, The Revolution Against Death follows a thousand people gathered to declare a revolution against aging and death. Fear lingers in the air — fear of nonbeing, of illness and pain, of invisibility, of ending alone.
THE REVOLUTION AGAINST DEATH is Joshua Oppenheimer's poem about these fears, about mortality, capitalism, desperate denial – and our universal longing for communion and love.
The film is produced by Joshua Oppenheimer and Signe Byrge Sørensen for End of the World Productions. The film continues Oppenheimer’s exploration of fear, power, and the human condition.
