WORLD PREMIERE OF 'DREAMING MURAKAMI' AT IDFA 2017 / by Maria Kristensen

Friday November 17 was the World Premiere of Nitesh Anjaan's new documentary film Dreaming Murakami.

The film was selected for the Panorama section of IDFA 2017 and the premiere was in the beautiful EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam.

The screening was full and the audience had a lot of insightful questions and words of praise for the director and for the main protagonist, Danish translator Mette Holm, who was attending the premiere.

Dreaming Murakami is screening in the Panorama section, and it is director Nitesh Anjaan's debut at IDFA. The film is about the Danish translator Mette Holm and her work within the literary universe of the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. It's an innovative and poetic story of perception, communication and a two-metre-tall animated frog that tries to guard us all against the hate in the world.
