'TWO STRANGERS TRYING NOT TO KILL EACH OTHER' LONGLISTED FOR GRIERSON AWARD '25 / by Maria Kristensen

We are very honoured and excited to announce that Two Strangers Trying Not to Kill Each Other has been longlisted for the Grierson Awards 2025!

Directed by Jacob Perlmutter and Manon Ouimet, the film has been longlisted as one of eight in the category of Best Arts and Music Documentary.

As one of the highlights of the British documentary calendar, the Grierson Awards are held annually to honour documentary films that demonstrate overall excellence.

Two Strangers Trying Not to Kill Each Other is a beautiful and often very funny film about Maggie Barrett and Joel Meyerowitz, an ageing artist couple who, after an accident, face the inevitability of impermanence and seek a deep peace in their relationship while they still can.

We are crossing our fingers and looking forward to the announcement of the nominations on September 22. The Awards Ceremony will be taking place in London on November 18, 2025.
