What Walaa Wants wins the Hilal jury award for Best Film at the Ajyal Film Festival in Doha, Qatar.
550 young jurors representing 55 nationalities in three categories: Bader (18 to 21 years), Hilal (13 to 17 years), and Mohaq (8 to 12 years) select the winners.
The film follows Walaa and her struggles and her dreams from she is 15 years old to 21. It premiered at Berlinale 2018, and has since been touring the world, most recently at IDFA Best of Fests and now Ajyal Film Festival.
