‘A SILENT STORY’ & ‘THE KILLING OF A JOURNALIST’ IN COMPETITION AT ONE WORLD FESTIVAL 2023 / by Maria Kristensen

Last week the nominations for the One World Festival 2023 were announced and we’re excited that Anders Skovbjerg Jepsen’s A Silent Story is in the International Competition and Matt Sarnecki’s The Killing of a Journalist is in the Czech Competition. One World is the largest human rights film festival in the world.

A Silent Story will have its International premiere at One World Festival. In an incredibly brave debut feature film, breaking a terrible taboo, the director seeks out his childhood friend who sexually abused him when they were both children.

The Killing of a Journalist will have its Czech premiere at One World Festival and will be distributed in Czech cinemas afterwards. The film explores the brutal murder of a young Slovakian investigative journalist and his fiancée. The film is produced by Final Cut for Real, and co-produced by Frame Films from the Czech Republic.

Both Anders Skovbjerg Jepsen and Matt Sarnecki will be present for their premiere events.
