On Thursday, October 15 'Songs of Repression' won the award for Best Chilean film at Festival Internacional de Cine Valdivia.
The filmmakers wish to thank all the participants in the film: Without you, this film would never have been possible. They also thank all the groups and experts related to the topic of Colonia Dignidad: Your knowledge and support has been invaluable all the way through the making of this film. Hopefully, our film will give new perspectives and help in regaining focus on discussions about Colonia Dignidad. And in a broader perspective hopefully, it will also give food for thought on the consequences of totalitarian regimes and how one can prevent that they are repeated.
And finally a big thank you to FICValdivia for having chosen the film to your programme and to the jury for having awarded the film.
