On December 7 The Act of Killing, directed by Joshua Oppenheimer, received the great honour of being named the Best Documentary at the European Film Awards.
The awards are given based on votes cast by members of the European Film Academy.
Director Joshua Oppenheimer, co-director Christine Cynn and producer Signe Byrge Sørensen were in Berlin for the ceremony.
In his acceptance speech, Joshua Oppenheimer dedicated the prize to his Anonymous Indonesian crew, and especially to his Anonymous Indonesian co-director.
