We are happy to announce that Mahdi Fleifel’s critically acclaimed short A Drowning Man is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime both in the US and in the UK.

The 15 min. fiction film follows a day in the life of a young man in Athens, looking for the means to get through his day. Surrounded by predators he is forced to make compromises merely to survive, his life of exile grows one day longer.

A Drowning Man had it’s World premiere at Cannes Film Festival in 2017 and has since toured festivals around the globe winning multiple awards, among these Best Short at both Brussels International Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival and Cork International Film Festival. Furthermore it landed a nomination for a BAFTA in 2017 in the category Best Short Film.

The film is produced for Final Cut for Real by Signe Byrge Sørensen, Patrick Campbell and Mahdi Fleifel, and co-produced by Nakba Filmworks (UK) and Homemade Films (GR). It was edited by Michael Aaglund, Vasco Viana was cinematographer and sound-design was done by Dario Swade.
