'The Act of Killing' selected for Toronto International Film Festival 2012 / by Mauricio Gonzalez-Aranda

We are happy to announce that our new documentary The Act of Killing, which is directed by Joshua Oppenheimer, co-directed by Christine Cynn & Anonymous and produced by Signe Byrge Sørensen, has been selected for Toronto International Film Festival 2012.

In a country where killers are celebrated as heroes, the filmmakers challenge unrepentant death squad leaders to dramatise their role in genocide. The hallucinatory result is a cinematic fever dream, an unsettling journey deep into the imaginations of mass-murderers and the shockingly banal regime of corruption and impunity they inhabit.

Toronto International Film Festival takes place from September 6-16, 2012.
